PERSONALITY DIMENSIONS® (TRUE COLORS®) WHAT IS IT?
The Personality Dimensions® Workshop is a self-awareness program that builds on the foundations established by the work of the MBTI, David Keirsey, Linda Berens and Don Lowry. It provides practical information on how to improve relationships and communications skills. Through the use of four colours, Resourceful Orange, Organized Gold, Inspiring Green, and Authentic Blue, workshop participants become aware of four basic “personality” types. While we are a blend of all four styles, each type has its own unique strengths and qualities.
The Personality Dimensions® system utilizes a convenient card sort and short questionnaire to reveal your temperament preference. In addition to being the first Temperament assessment to incorporate the Introversion/Extraversion dichotomy, Personality Dimensions® also uses four colours along with short descriptors and symbols to represent the Temperament preferences: Inquiring Green, Organized Gold, Authentic Blue, Resourceful Orange. These combined aspects create a common language of understanding of yourself and others.
Programme Structure How it works?
Using interactive exercises, attendees gain a greater understanding of diversity, improve communications and enhance team building skills. Individuals learn more about themselves and others through the sorting of colour-coded cards and the completion of a validated short word comparison instrument.
Participants are regrouped according to ‘”colour type” and they discuss answers specific questions. Group presentations are analyzed and reviewed for similarities and differences. These activities allow individuals to scrutinize the skills they need to strengthen in order to become even more effective team members.
The ideal size group is 15 to 24. A minimum of 3 hours delivery time is required to properly grasp the concepts. Various design options are available.
Participants receive straight forward materials which help summarize their own styles, theory and how to work well with others. (Sorting cards must be returned.)
